SUSTOUKA Networking Platform

The aim of this Platform is to encourage tourism sector stakeholders of Kazakhstan and Central Asia to interact among themselves, share knowledge, ideas and lessons learned, as well as to discuss on their specific needs in terms of sustainability requirements and help each other in any activity or practice related to sustainability and SCP implementation.

On January 17, the international project ‘SUSTOUKA’ held the 2nd day of training for national experts on the capacity-building program in the field of sustainable management of the Tourism Sector

The SUSTOUKA project is aimed to accelerate the transformation of Kazakhstan into a green economy by enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of its tourism sector, increasing environmental awareness and introducing appropriate sustainable practices and technologies in the tourist accommodation sector of Kazakhstan. The project is implemented by an international and multidisciplinary consortium led by EKOTEK (Spain) and composed of Kazakhstan Tourist Association (KTA), Kazakhstan Association of Hotels & Restaurants (KAGiR) and ECEAT (The Netherlands). The project is funded by the European Union (EU) through the SWITCH-Asia Programme.
